EID-UL-ADHA 2026 · UPPER WEST REGION, GHANA.
Upper West Regional Minister Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing, Esq., used this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration to deliver a stirring call for collective responsibility, discipline, and unity among the people of the region.
Drawing on the spirit of Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice, the Minister urged citizens to choose honesty over corruption, peace over violence, and unity over division — emphasising that lasting development begins not in conference rooms, but in homes, markets, schools, and mosques.
He made a passionate appeal to the youth to resist drug abuse, crime, and internet fraud, while urging communities to restore the region’s proud tradition of cleanliness, order, and hospitality.
“The development of the Upper West Region is our collective responsibility. We cannot condemn crime publicly and protect criminals privately.”
— Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing, Upper West Regional Minister
The Minister also highlighted Government’s transformational agenda — including the Big Push, agricultural modernisation, and the 24-hour economy policy — encouraging all residents, especially youth and women, to seize available opportunities.
He concluded with a vision of a peaceful, clean, disciplined, and economically vibrant Upper West Region — one that future generations will be proud to inherit. Eid Mubarak.
