REGIONAL MINISTER HANDS OVER FIVE NEW BUSES TO BOOST PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN THE UPPER WEST REGION.

On Wednesday, 10th June 2026, the Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing Esq., officially handed over five new buses to the Metro Mass Transit Unit, in a move aimed at strengthening public transportation services across the Region.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the Unit, management and staff expressed gratitude and pledged to deploy them effectively in the service of commuters.
In his remarks, the Regional Minister urged management and conductors to regard the buses as valuable public assets, calling for strict maintenance, professionalism and accountability in their use.
He commended President John Dramani Mahama for his continued commitment to improving public transportation, and acknowledged the efforts of the Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit, Hon. Kale Caesar Esq., in facilitating the initiative.
The addition of these buses is expected to enhance the efficiency, comfort and reliability of public transport services for commuters within the Upper West Region.
