The Upper West Region has taken a bold step towards bridging the information gap between government and citizens, as the Regional Minister, Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing Esq., officially handed over two state-of-the-art mobile cinema vans to the Information Services Department (ISD).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The fully-equipped multi-purpose broadcasting units are capable of live transmissions, streaming national programs including GTV feeds, and broadcasting major events such as parliamentary sittings directly to communities and schools across the Region. Districts will also receive desktop computers and megaphones to strengthen local public announcement systems.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To test-run the new units, the Region is rolling out live public screenings of the much-anticipated Ghana vs Colombia football match, with Van 1 stationed at the Wa Naa Palace grounds and Van 2 at the Tindamba Primary Model JHS Park \u2014 bringing the excitement of the game straight to the doorstep of community members.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Receiving the keys on behalf of the ISD, the Regional Information Director, Mr. Sinto Mustapha Nuhu, expressed profound gratitude to the Regional Minister for the logistical support, and pledged to put the vans to good use in deepening public education and enhancing publicity for the Upper West Region and beyond.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Going forward, the vans will be deployed to markets and other high-traffic centres across the Region, with a comprehensive rollout schedule to be rolled out in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority, ensuring every district benefits from this new resource.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Regional Coordinating Council reaffirms its commitment to transparency, education, and community engagement, and calls on all citizens to help safeguard these facilities as they serve the collective good of the Region.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
