The Upper West Region lit up with cultural pride as the Traditional Food Exhibition took place on March 25, 2026, under the auspices of the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Centre for National Culture. With the resonant theme, \u201cUpper West Pot: Our Greatest Pride, Our Deepest Heritage,\u201d the event showcased the incredible richness of our culinary traditions, reminding us that our food is not just sustenance, but a tapestry of history and identity.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing Esq., addressing attendees through Chief Director Hajia Pognaa Fati Issaka Koray, proclaimed the exhibition a vital platform for reclaiming our narrative. He emphasized the importance of traditional foods in fostering community, creating jobs, empowering women, and promoting tourism.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“This gathering is about preserving culture for future generations,” he shared, calling on the youth to embrace their culinary heritage and learn from the experience. Gratitude was also expressed to CIKOD and other partners for their unwavering support in making the event a success.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
